Hello Flagship,
As a long time fan of ventrilo and a current customer of a licensed ventrilo host, I am curious as to what is coming next for ventrilo? What other features/bug fixes should we expect? I know its ridiculous of me to expect a full list here, but I think it would be awesome to know of a few future enhancements we can expect.
Thanks again for developing a truely amazing product of its kind.

The three of us always seem to end up in the same threads.
Flagship, you cant even give us an extremely broad hint at what might be coming next?

User permissions?
I think he means things like Voice, Channel Admin, Server Admin, OP. Things that TeamSpeak uses.

Yes, he does. The one think I like about TS over Ventrillo...and the only thing mind you, is the extensive user permissions scheme.

I've been giving some thought to this and I might implement more user specific permissions. However, I will not create a system that has 100's of options per user. I like things to be simple. I also try to keep my self from over engineering things, which the current client tends to suffer from a few of those.

I nice web based login would be nice too :) Would save having to stop/start the server everytime you change something.. All in the future I'd assume. In the long run everything is worth the wait :)

I completely agree. If it takes 6 hours to configure it's not very attractive to anyone. I think that a simple scheme, user based is much easier than group based that allows common functions (mute, kick, ban, add, edit & delete users or chanels) is more than enough. Some check boxe options in the user editor is all it needs. But IMO the 75+ permission options that TS has is a little.....excessive.
The other thing, and this probably isnt the place to post it, that I'd like to see is a way in the user editor to 'edit' a user. Currently if you want to make someone an admin, or change their password you have to remove and readd their account. Not a big deal mind you but just one of those things that I notice.

Just open up an rcon window and type 'quit' to restart the server. Most changes on any program require a server restart anyway.
