Hello, I've used ventrilo for a year or so now, and me and a few friends finally decided to setup a server (using the free 8client Windows i386 - 32bit v2.2.0) but we've run into a problem where no one else except people on my direct network (through my router) can connect.

Im assuming from reading the FAQ and setup this is due to the router blocking their IP addresses from connecting, could you please direct me into some documentation or explain what I can/should do to fix this problem?

Anyhelp would be appreciated, thanks.

I also run zone alarm firewall, so should I open incoming/(outgoing?) DNS/DHCP/ICMP/IGMP/UDP/TCP/NetBIOS ports?

You need to read your routers manual to figure out how to setup port forwarding. It's different from one brand to another.

alright, I'll try to find it in the meanwhile, so do you think this is a router/port access problem?

Yes, it is your problem. You need to forward port 3784.
