Hi, I have a digidesign m box 2 (for pro tools) and I am wondering if there is any way to use it with ventrilo because I'd rather use my condenser microphone as opposed to a usb or worse microphone. I've asked around with friends but we're all stumped. This is a last ditch shot and probably expecting a sad response. The M Box is an external device which allows one to hook up studio microphones/sound boards, etc. to a computer via usb and use programs such as pro tools to record. My hope is to be able to use ventrilo too. Alright, thanks in advance.

do you see the M Box in the input device list?

no, that's the problem, otherwise I would have attempted to do that, any way to get it in there?

in c-panel/sounds&audio > voice tab. is there options for either the mbox or the usb device the mbox uses? does directx recognize the mbox?

start > run > dxdiag > sound tab that lists the mbox > test directplay
